Elk are large animals; thus needing a lot of water. Early morning, after they have finished eating, elk will drink before heading to their bedding area to rest. Find a water sourse the elk are using and set up a blind or stand along the trail. 8am until 6pm, is typically when elk will be in or around their bedding area except around the middle of the day to check their wallow and drink.

Elk are most likely to go tot water early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Know where water is available in your area, and pay attention for water holes that are concealed.
