Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

MISSOULA, Mont.—For the second year in a row, America’s premier charity watchdog has given its highest marks to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. CLICK HERE to visit the RMEF national website.

Only 21 percent of all U.S. charities have attained Charity Navigator’s coveted 4-star rating for two or more consecutive years. The achievement denotes RMEF’s exceptional ability to manage and grow finances—a key factor for donors selecting top-performing conservation organizations for philanthropic gifts.

Ratings data show RMEF spends just 6.7 percent on administrative costs, and 3 percent on fundraising costs. Therefore, more than 90 cents of every dollar that RMEF spends goes directly to its mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat.

Charity Navigator President and CEO Ken Berger wrote, “Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.

RMEF Houston Chapter is celebrating its 25th anniversary and with your help will have contributed more than $2 million to elk habitat initiatives

RMEF raises its funds through a variety of means, but primarily through fund raising banquets staged by volunteers in local chapters across North America.  The Houston Chapter is proud to announce its annual banquet for June 2, 2012.  The banquet will again be held at the Westchase Marriott Hotel  2900 Briarpark Drive near the intersection of Westheimer inside Beltway 8.  The Houston chapter is very happy to be staging it 25th annual banquet and with the help of local RMEF members like yourself we aim to top out our fund raising goal with having raised more that $2 million since our foundation.  Please support RMEF Houston this year and be a part of this milestone achievement.

The Houston Chapter also helps sponsor the annual Conroe banquet at the Lone Star Convention Center.  The 2012 Conroe event is scheduled for July 21.

Habitat Partners

You can become a Habitat Partner to the RMEF and join 2253 other committed enthusiasts for as little as a one time contribution of $2500.  More than 600 Imperial Level Habitat Partners have contributed $10,000 and are invited to join the Habitat Council providing direct input to the RMEF board of directors on projects and priorities.  Click here gone.hunting@sbcglobal.net to learn more about becoming a Habitat Partner.

Other Donations Gratefully Accepted

Make a tax deductible donation of merchandise, services, or money to the RMEF Houston Chapter banquet and help continue Houston's proud legacy of generous support.  Many of the items offered at the banquet are purchased at discount.  We encourage organizations or individuals that underwrite some of these purchase costs and help more of the banquet's proceeds go to wildlife projects.

Matching Gifts

Your company may participate in the CASE matching gifts program that could double dollars you contribute to RMEF.  See a partial listing of participating companies CLICK HERE.
